Structural
welded wire reinforcement (WWR) is used as a
primary reinforcement in many applications such as bridge decks, high-rise buildings (in slabs and in shear reinforcement for columns and beams), precast concrete products like box culverts, double-Ts, architectural wall panel and tunnel linings. The pre-manufactured WWR grid is a product of choice because it reduces installation labour costs at a precast plant or job site by at least 50% as well as shortening project completion time. *Refer to table 1 as a design aid in selecting areas of steel for various wire sizes and spacings and table 2 for standard styles of construction mesh. |
